🕯What Is Vespers?

Vespers is the evening prayer service of the Orthodox Church, prayed as the sun sets to mark the beginning of a new liturgical day. It is a service of psalms, hymns, and prayers of thanksgiving that has been offered in one form or another since the early Church. No prior experience is necessary — you're welcome simply to come, stand, sit, and pray as you're able. Feel free to arrive a few minutes early if you'd like to ask questions beforehand.
